New Long Beach State Athletic Director Loyed Carr has announced that Long Beach State will bring back the Football Program that has been missing for a decade. The Long Beach St football program will be in the FBS as a proud member of the Independce. "Long Beach St have been without a Football team for too long. Southern California College Basketball last year was the big thing. I think its time to do the same for Football. We'll find a coach, We'll Build a team and we'll play football." It will be intresting to see who comes on this team. LBST will also have Tryouts for Walks. Long Beach Football is Back

John Gruden hired as 49ers Head coach



Long Beach State has found their coach and what a hire it was. Today Long Beach State AD Loyed Carr was quick to make an impact by hiring Former Tampa Bay head coach and MNF Analyst John Gruden. Gruden had shown up for an interview and impressed Loyed Carr. After meeting with a few more people he made the choice to hire him. "At the End of the day John was the type of coach who could help this Program. I've seen his work and I know that he's the type of guy who I would want to coach these Kids and make sure they get through College and help the future of this Program." Those were words from Loyed Carr after announcing the Hire. John Gruden was not avalible for hire but is scheduled to have a Press Conference tomarrow to talk about his plans. John Gruden led the Tampa Bay Bucs to a Super Bowl win over the Raiders in 2003. This will surely bring headlines to this program.
