GAME RECAP

Ohio State went full "Cobra Kai" on the Purdue showing no mercy to the #11 ranked Boilermakers in their return to the "Shoe"..

The Buckeyes Struck First, Struck Hard and Showed No Mercy scoring a season high 63 points including 7 touchdowns on the ground as both Curtis McCracken and Frederick Tam score the Hat Trick with 3 TD's each..

Purdue kept things close in the 1st Quarter trailing (14-7) but using a duo of QB's the Boilermakers threw 3 INT's that lead to 21 unanswered points as Ohio State rolls to the victory..

Purdue didn't play horrible despite the score.. They did manage to put up 407 yds of Total Offense including 141 yds that did include a 50 yd run by FR WR Jaylen Swayne on a Jet Sweep.

Leading (49-14) early in the 4th, QB Nick De La Rosa did come in and close out the game under center but only attempted 5 pass's completing 2 of them as Ohio State stuck with the ground game as McCracken and Tam picked up their 3rd TD each.

UP NEXT

Ohio State will remain at home for Game 2 in their 3 game homestand as they will prepare to host Notre Dame in Week 9 (At the time of this report, I havn't played the FIU game yet so, I don't know if Notre Dame will be #2 and still be undefeated or if Navy will pull off the upset).

RECRUITING NEWS

**Again because we havn't simmed ahead yet, I am unclear if anyone signs this week, but we did have several players on campus during the win.

Yeah. I don't know what the deal is.. In one of my other Dynasties, Duke had a 4-5 year spurt where they were really good too.. I know in real life next year they will have that FR QB from Tulane so I think in CF26 they will be better for those first 3-4 years of a Dynasty so it will be interesting to see how that could change for them normally being a Basketball school.

Sadly their Stud QB got hurt playing against FIU so now he is out for the season. Which opens the door for Pounds or McCracken to get the Heisman..

The Buckeyes RB group is one of the most talented I have played with I honestly think if I had Tam for 4 years and made him my #1 RB he could've pushed for some of Tavon Logan's records which shattered every rushing record in the game.. But Jones was so good and so is McCracken and honestly Te'o is good too and so is Britton who never sees the field. Dubois was a 5* RB I moved to FB because of how good my depth is and even he turns out 4=5 yds a carry on dive runs and could probably break some bigger runs if I put him in for sweeps and stretch runs.

GAME RECAP

The College Game Day showed up for the Battle of undefeated #1 Ohio State vs #3 Notre Dame and the game didn't disappoint as these 2 football titans battled in Week 10.

Ohio State took a early lead on a 3 yd run by JR RB Frederick Tam to make it (7-0).. The touchdown was 1 of 3 on the day for Tam who makes it back to back weeks with the Hat Trick. Ohio State had another opportunity to score in the 1st Quarter but Abdul Diabate is picked off in the endzone ending the scoring opportunity.

Tam would score TD #2 early in the 2nd Quarter to give Ohio State the (14-0) lead but Notre Dame answers back with a score to make it (14-7) The Buckeyes would tack on a FG late in the half to make it (17-7) as we head to the locker rooms.

Ohio State opened up the 3rd Quarter scoring with Tam's 3rd TD of the day and his 14th of the season...

Coach Miller
Quote:
"Frederick Tam has become one of the premier RB's inside the 5 yd line the past 3 years with 57 scores. Ohio State has had some pretty great RB's come through this program over the year's and it's crazy to think that that he is already the leader in touchdowns in a career and still has plenty of games left to not only set the ball higher but also chase down Monte Ball's Big Ten record of 77"
Notre Dame would again answer back with a score of their own to make it (24-14) but then it was Curtis McCracken time as the JR RB takes the ball 69 yds to the house for the quick score extending the lead back to (31-14).. Again Notre Dame fights back though settling for a FG to make it (31-17) to end the 3rd. The Irish then force a punt by the Buckeyes before scoring another touchdown to make it (31-24) with just under 4 minutes to play in the game..

Rather then attempt the onside kick, Notre Dame kicks deep into the endzone as Ohio State starts at the 20 yd line.

With already over 290 yds on the day, Ohio State continued to ride the run game as the Buckeyes add 54 yds on to their total including a 2 yd run by McCracken with just 17 seconds to play as Ohio State stays undefeated and puts themselves in the drivers seat for a Big Ten Championship bid.

UP NEXT

Ohio State will stay home to finish out their 3 game homestand hosting Pitt as the Buckeyes celebrate "Senior Day" and honor the 17 Seniors on this year's roster. Reports are several JR's are also expected to be honored as WR E. Tandy, DE M. Vakapuna are considered to be potential 1st or 2nd round Draft picks.

RECRUITING NEWS

Coach Miller landed 3 more commitments this week including another 5* Recruit.

WEEK 10 AROUND THE NATION RECAP

FIU MAKES IT 41 STRAIGHT

Could FIU make it 3 straight seasons with a perfect 12-0 record. Well they are 1 step closer as they move to 9-0 this week after defeating UNC (34-28).

Tied (7-7) at the end of the 1st Quarter, FIU scores 21 points in the 2nd Quarter to take a (28-14) lead into the half.

UNC cuts the lead to (34-21) in the 3rd quarter holding the Panthers to a pair of FG's and would actually make it (34-28) early in the 4th before throwing a costly turnover to kill any comeback attempt.

Kevin Pounds was 15/18 on the day but threw for just 212 yds with this 3 TD's.. He also ran the ball well leading the team with 84 yds on the ground on 10 carries.

Tim Trinidad added 62 yds on 11 carries and scored 2 touchdowns.. SR R Erick Longo led the WR's with 4 rec for 86 yds and 1 TD.. FR James Stills had 4 rec for 65 yds.
