Re: Reviving the Boom | A Seattle Seahawks franchise story

Seattle -- Welcome to the latest installment of my “Morning Coffee” blog, Seahawks fanatics. In this blog, I have some tidbits, musings and rumors to discuss. I’ll be doing a weekly report on all things related the Seattle Seahawks. That could be an injury take, trade takes and even mock draft takes as the season progresses. Hope you join the discussion!

• Kicker Jason Myers has apologised to the team, according to sources within the organization. The kicker missed a field goal that could have given them a four point lead and would have required Buffalo to score a touchdown to win the game. The Bills marched down the field, only to have their field goal attempt blocked, sealing Seattle's victory and sparing the kicker from shouldering the blame for the loss.

• Charles Cross has suffered an abdominal tear and will be out for the next month, according to team doctors. Cross has previously missed time this season. Stone Forsythe will once again start at left tackle. If Cross can remain healthy when he returns, by season’s end he would have missed minimum five games this season.

• The Seahawks have released CB Mike Jackson Sr., who has caught the attention of the Denver Broncos. After assessing their options through six games, the Seahawks feel secure with rookie Mike Sainristil and veteran Tre Brown as backup players, making Mike Jackson expendable under the 53-player roster limit with players returning from injury.

• Rookie tight end Jaheim Bell pulled his hamstring in practice earlier this morning. The team announced he is “doubtful” for Monday Night’s game in Detroit. The Seahawks quickly moved and signed Geoff Swaim. Adam Trautman is likely to return next week, which will make Swaim’s stay in Seattle brief. The Seahawks also considered O.J. Howard and Ricky Seals-Jones. The Seahawks released cornerback Teez Tabor to be compliant with 53-man roster limits.

• Seattle have updated their depth chart to enter Week 7. You can VIEW IT HERE.
