Changing defensive formations?

Maybe this has been asked before, but it there a way to change the basic defensive formations, like a 3-4 to a 4-3 or vice versa?

Found it. Right click on a blank area in the editor for a given team and you can check 3-4, 4-3 or both. I'm not sure how the game translates both.
