How to load 2K4 rosters on Original XBOX

Can anyone guide me on how to properly transfer a 2K4 game save using AR from my PC to my XBOX?

1. I save the file to the XBOX memory card.
2. Transfer it to PC using AR.
3. It comes in a ZIP file.
4. I then open the ZIP to edit the HEX.
5. Then Re-Zip (the zip filesize changes even though my savegame.dat filesize remained the same).
6. Transfer it back to the memory card using AR.
7. Then I get an "Unable to load" message on the XBOX when I try to load the roster.

Can anyone tell me how to get this to work? I'm literally only changing one attribute in the HEX and still not working.

Any help would be appreciated as I'm trying to make an editor for 2K4.

This was due to Xbox's encryption on the savegame file.
