Hello folks! I got sick of taking up all the space in Rickster's thread and since I'm close to finishing this thing up I figured I may as well make a thread. Once this roster is complete, I will post the links on this original post. If subsequent releases are created, I will post them here also along with the date they were revised.

A little background info: Rickster & Dolphin successfully completed a 2011 NFL roster with unbelievably accurate roster lineups and depth charts. With Rickster's permission I began editing the ratings of each player to more closely resemble their performances this year, and to more-so reflect the ratings of the base roster the game began with in 2004.

I've fine-combed these rosters, and while I believe I've truly captured the essence of a lot of players; everything still will not be perfect. For one most 3rd string players were ignored aside from their speeds, and it's hard to get information on a lot of backup players so I filled in what I could. Here are the measures of which I've obtained this information. For each offensive starter I've taken into consideration their statistics of this year and last mainly, for an idea of where they are in rating numbers. Then I find youtube highlight videos so I can analyze passing strength, agility, break-tackle, jumping, strength, etc.. Their speed is determined by their 40 yard dash numbers at the NFL Combine, and slightly decreased if they're older. And on defense ratings are usually gathered by statistics since there aren't many highlight videos of defensive players. I also look up scouting reports so I can get clues to their footwork and coverage abilities, and I also use their 40 yard dash numbers to figure out their speed. It takes me anywhere from an hour to two hours to completely revise a team, because if I'm going to spend this much time doing it, I want it to be done perfectly.

With that being said, this is still Rickster & Dolphin's roster first and foremost. Without them I wouldn't have the balls to tackle this project, they did all the grunt work, and all the tedious detailing. I don't even know how to use Finn's editor so I'm just doing all of this through the game, they're the true 2K5 wizards. But I believe with all of my scrupulous homework and dedication, for fans of the original rating system that came with the game, this could possibly be one the very best completed rosters out there. I've played through some games and am floored with the accuracy and feel of each player and team. I've done no work to the playbooks or anything like that, but each player will be represented quite well. So far I have 20/32 teams completed, and look to be done within a week or so!

UPDATE: 12/21/11

Okay once again I'm a broken record as I apologize for the delay. Every team I do it seems I attack it with a deeper and concentrated accuracy, and I find myself filling in more and more details on every single person on the roster regardless if they get playing time. Which means I've had to go back and fill in more detail on the teams I completed in the early goings of this project. I've also hit a group of teams where I've add to create quite a bit of players. So here is what's left. I have 4 teams left to complete, and I have to go over and edit probably 4-5 other teams (Mostly defense, and this only takes like 30 minutes a team so it's not a big deal at all). However, these rosters are almost done!! I'd say over 90%. I simulated a franchise and I know the schedule isn't the same as this year, but I literally got 95% accuracy in the standings when comparing them to the standings of the divisions current week. Ravens, Patriots, Texans, Broncos, Packers, Saints, 49ers, and Cowboys all led their division. The only differences was 2 teams that would've been wildcard.

So... since I'm so close I'm releasing the Beta!!! There's some players who need their years pro changed, need some dreadlocks, and need position changes. However aside from the Vikes, Skins, Colts, & Jags most of the teams should be pretty perfect aside from some minor nuances that will be corrected. Please I implore you to download these and play them and tell me what you think! I'd like to know your critiques on gameplay, and I'll even listen to critiques on the ratings. I feel you all will be very pleased!

Update!! The Final Roster is complete, thank you SO MUCH UnleadedApe for finishing the final 4 teams and doing some Finn's Editor work for me. The final roster can be found at the top of page 16!

Right now I'm realizing that the first few teams weren't done as thoroughly as the rest, so I'm just going through the first 6 or so and making sure they have accurate speeds based upon the chart I've made reflective of their 40 yard dash times. Then I'll probably move onto the Packers & Patriots next.

Also, would you be so kind as to set each team to it's correct defense? By this I mean, 3-4 teams should play 3-4, and 4-3 should play 4-3. I've download 2k12 rosters and franchise files, but they don't have the Packers as a 3-4 team, so I can only imagine that other teams are off as well.

Well I haven't had a chance the last couple of days to put a dent in, however I'm off the next two days and should cover some major ground. Unfortunately I won't be changing anything that gets done in Finn's Editor because I don't want to mess things up. Maybe once the player ratings are right someone will want to tweak some things in Finn's.
