Editing Help!

Ok,, I have been changing teams Rams to 99 Rams Bears to 85 Bears and so on...Just deleting players names and changing them to players on teams I want.. "Frig Perry, or Marshall Faulk and so on..
Been doing the Giants to 86 Giants.. All of a Sudden I went to change a Off: Linemen and It said I couldnt do anymore,, "said I was at an editing limit" WHAT da??? Its for a PS2 and I am just doing it by hand..

Sounds like you were editing in game which isn't really possible due to the player edit limit. If you do all of your edits in Finns editor your problem should be solved.

Yea I was thinking that,, I have Finns editor I Just need a Data save card or something.. Tho Right Now Im out of work, so cant afford anything extra..

You're correct there are limits in all platforms when it comes to editing in game I should know I've created close to 700 players in my files lifetime that exact number to date is now at 683 and holding at some point the file if over edited in game by creating players will corrupt if used in conjuction with the editor it would be a conflict between the two at some point.

In order to maintain file stability and avoid conflicting issues I now use out source editing processing to create players, ergo editing using software to re-program players this process has become the source for all edits used by editor/roster creaters and the software used is Finns last version 4.0 editing tool.

I probably could add more but the chances of corrupting my file is too great a risk for the time I've inveseted in it.

Best thing to do is to do all renaming in FINN's editor and avoid renaming in-game. Also, dont use the create a player feature in-game because you're adding players to the roster file that you're using. For example, VC's final roster update from January 2005 was 1955 players including the seven celebs. Best thing to do is to not go past that limit.

Most people will add players in-game and whatnot and I dont know why. I'm going to guess that at least half if not more of the players who were in VC's final roster update are long gone so the best thing to do is to overwrite players who no longer exist. For example, I would use 49ers QB Tim Rattay and edit him into QB Alex Smith.

Using players that are on VC's final roster update to create current existing players without releasing them or assigning them to another team makes everything easier and quicker. Also helps to make sure that you dont hit the 42 minimum player requirement for each team in-game. Since I would say that its highly unlikely that many teams still have 11 players on their roster who were actualy playing in 2004, overwriting those players makes its easier when creating a roster update.

Ok, Thanks for the Advice guys but You didnt read what I wrote the 2ed time.. Its for PS2 and I dont Have a Max Drive once I edit in Finns editor.
Again Right Now I dont have a job and have just been editing in the game to kill time.. I just didnt think of a Limit..
So I will just mess with 2k8 for now..
