Noob question, but how exactly do I get new rosters on my PS2?

I recently got NFL 2k5 for the PS2 and I love it, but I'm wondering how to get updated rosters. Most of the terminology you guys use here tends to go over my head, as I've never done much with getting new rosters for sports games.

So what's a step-by-step way to get some 08-09 rosters for the PS2 version of NFL 2k5? I think there's a USB port on the old-school PS2, but I'm not exactly sure if it's as simply as saving rosters on a flash drive and putting it into the console.

you need a max drive for the PS2 IIRC. i got the rosters easily with a flash drive on the PS3, so maybe you can give the flash drive method a try first!

You need an Action Replay Max Drive for PlayStation 2. Below is a link and a picture of what you need.

As you can see, it has the flash drive on the front of the package but you also need the PS2 disc that comes with it in order to transfer the files. I have done it before and while its not difficult, only the original Xbox version is easier to do.

After you download a file, put the flash drive into a USB port on your computer. Then, copy and paste the file onto the "E" drive that you'll see when you go into "my computer". Then, eject the flash drive and put it into the USB port on your PS2. Insert the AR disc and there will be an option that allows you to "uncrush" the file from the flash drive to your PS2 memory card. After you do this, you'll be able to load the file in-game from the PS2 memory card.

I do have a question for you -

Is it possible to open a PS2 max file and an Xbox zip file in the editor at the same time? And if so, is it possible to copy a player from the zip file and paste into the max file?
