Freezing in roster manage screen

Im using a default roster I edited with Finns editor in an attempt to recreate the 2000 season and when I load it up on the xbox, everything seems to work fine, except when I go into the roster management screen, any sort of flipping through teams or positions locks up the system. Does anyone know what can cause this sort of thing?

its a roster file not a franchise file btw

did you copy and paste players from a historic roster file

I had the same issue, I know Finn or Puja would be able to say with more accuracy but I believe that issues can arise if you paste in a team with fewer total players on the roster or a different number of players at each position that is where the issue would be I believe.

so far all I did was replace about position players with position players, person for person. Out of curiosity, what it work fine if I just avoided the roster manage screen all together? I was only interested in starting a franchise anyway, and all roster editing can be done with finns editor so long as the game doesnt lock up on me.

Im 80% or so done an original 2000 Roster Save and I really dont want to have to dump it.

My freezing occurred during games but i would suspect it is a symptom of the same problem. So I think what is likely to happen is that the game will appear to run correctly up until the point where you come to use the team containing the player or players causing the freeze. I noticed the crash always occurred with Pittsburgh on my Franchise and I copied over the original from Puja's file and it worked again. It's hard to say what you changed that it specifically doesn't like without knowing first of all where the issue lies. I would go to roster management and see if there is pattern to the freeze, a particular position, team etc...
