Are Rosters PAL compatible?

Hi guys i'm new to this forum but I love 2k5 and having come across the possibility of playing on the 360 I wanted to get the roster updates. However, being from the UK my version of 2k5 is the PAL version and I noticed that Flying Finns editor is only NTSC compatible. I have 2k5 and want to update the rosters because its so much better than Madden. However I don't want to spend money on an Xport if it aint going to work so could someone help me out as to whether or not I can use these updates on a European system, Cheers guys

The rosters here will not load on a PAL system. At least they don't on a PAL xbox 1 system.

Re: Are Rosters PAL compatible?

I see.... pretty much screwed then.

I may have a go in the hopes of there being some difference on the 360

Does anyone know whether the ntsc version is backwards compatible with the euro 360? There has got to be some other guys from europe in here who have had this problem

i actually remembered some people reporting otherwise but the search string doesn't allow for 3 character terms, so "PAL" is pretty much out.

edit: found the old PAL thread... good ol manual browse (in hindsight i shouldve just searched NTSC as both terms will logically be in a PAL thread). here were the positive results:

1) a soft-modded system can apparently play both NTSC & PAL saves w/o any resigning

2) according to a UK user, they work on an unmodded system no problem if you transfer with AR (but apparently most UK people have a maxdrive):

Obviously you need Action Replay for it to work. Using the provided software just drag the file onto your Action Replay Memory Card. Before starting NFL 2K5 make sure the file is then transfered onto your Xbox hard-drive first (as the game doesn't recognise the Memory Card).

However, I've had no luck with NFL 2K4.

3) here was finn's original thought:

The above applies to Xbox. Not sure about the PS2
which another guy seems to have pulled off, but it looks like he did so for PS2:

I will keep trying.

I got it working in the end, andy82.

I used a combination of PS2 Save builder and ps2idc to change the file header to a PAL one.

Re: Are Rosters PAL compatible?

Thanks for your help Puja it is extemely appreciated. I intend to get the xport and see if I can sort something else out. If it can be done then I'll figure out the way. One thing is for certain it is better than Madden!

Thanks again.

Re: Are Rosters PAL compatible?

Success!

For anyone who might be interested it is possible to use rosters on a PAL xbox 360.

I simply transferred them using xport and it worked immediatly no issues.

I would like to thank Puja for taking the time to reply and for the awesome rosters so... thanks man!

Re: Are Rosters PAL compatible?

So does this mean that NTSC rosters are compatible with PAL 360 NFL 2k5? Sorry for kicking up a very old thread.
