ar vs ar max

Hey guys

I apologize if this isn't the correct place to put it but since this section deals with roster sharing and thats what im wanting it for i thought it should go here, my question is this a friend bought a used action replay and its not able to load any of the rosters, we have tried downloading 15 or so, some we put on the harddrive to do it that way to load them and still it didn't work, i was just curious for those that have tried both or just the armax, if they have had any problems with it. I was thinking what my friend got might just be too outdated and since everyone else doesn't seem to be having problems maybe the ar max is the way to go.
