Can we use these rosters for franchise mode or will they make the game crash like some of the others did?

With this roster the Bears are a 94 0verall with a defense rated 99 and an offense rated 82.This is ridiculous.The Redskins defense is rated 51 and the Chargers defense is only a 70 and the Steelers' D is a 72.There are are other nutty overall ratings.The transactions and depth charts are up to date for most teams although some, like the Redskins are still out of whack.Kenyatta Jones and Walter Rasby have been cut,Ray Brown needs to be the starting right tackle and Chad Morton is on IR.A lot of individual ratings may raise some eyebrows as well.

I didn't really do any rating edits to the Bears defense other than Alex Brown and Charles Tillman. Bears defense in yards is rated 17th in the league but they are a awesome defense when it comes to getting points / giving up points. Bears offense if I did anything is decreased ratings / increased Thomas Jones by a couple points. Bears starting Qb is rated in the 70s, Quinn got dropped to the low 50s. Yes I am being really biased by decreasing ratings such as Terrell.

I didn't decrease ratings for any of those defenses. If I did anything that was increase. You have to think and figure out by yourself that some players are not starting on the depth charts causing such low ratings.

It's hard to put every player on the team if there isn't enough room. For one there isn't a IR option and I didn't want to cut injured players and put even worse players on that team. Ray Brown is a starting guard not tackle as ESPN rosters as of the last two weeks reports. Only thing you really pointed out is I missed two cuts on the Redskins.

By the way what else raises eyebrows? Oh yes Brees should have stayed rated in this low 79s being he is only the second best QB in the NFL right now. McGahee should be lower than 88 right. If you don't like the roster, don't use, go out and make a better one and show me.

I have taken Mikes rosters and went through every team and changed the positition for every player based on the official depth charts. I did not change any player attributes or add any caps. I also made every update as of 4pm 12/07.

Every team has 54 players except Colts: CAP Waine Bacon CB from original roster. Falcons: add D. Rackley TE, Raiders: add J. Cooper SS, Rams: add practice squad members J. Shivers FS and McGrorty FB or Burley TE, Skins: add Khara Campbell ILB, and Jim Molenara T, Saints: Keyun Craver CB, and Darinn Smith ILB

I did not do this myself cause I am away from home.

All of these guys will max out rosters and are in the game as free agents.

This does not include depth chart changes!

I have to disagree with the criticism of Mikes attribute updates. I find them accurate and enjoyable.

Glad I found this explaining just what you did to the rosters sounds like you put some time in with the depth charts and lineups thats always good news having a roster set up that way they should keep up for awhile again thanks for keeping them current and updated along with Mikes work also and lets not forget Behindshadows2 for his contributions all you guys are great.

Your rosters are terrific. Up to date and accurate, I love them.

But...

I'm going to have to agree that some of the player ratings are just off. There are some for big name players, but also many for the lower rated guys as well. For example, for my favorite team the Vikings, Chris Hovan is rated in the 90s despite the fact that he's been inactive half of the season due to poor play. Also, Jose Cortez, our kickoff specialist because Morten Andersen no longer can make anything longer than 45 yards, has a LOWER kick power rating than Morten. This might be nit-picky to some, but all I'm trying to do is help. I'd love to work with you on player ratings if you're interested, as that's my forte. I'm not as much of a technical person as you are with keeping the rosters up to date, and plus, you're the master at that. Let me know if you're interested in colaborating Mike and keep these coming!

The fact is,these rosters have ridiculous ratings-the default Sega update roster is more correct as far as ratings and the depth charts.Some teams are really up to date and others are way out of wack.You have to decide if you want every scrub and long snapper on your team or if you want the Bears to be one of the elite treams in the NFL.Lol.
