i created an audo cd using nero on a cd-r disc
...didnt work "your xbox an't recognize this disc. bla bla bla"

so i went out and bought cd-rw discs today
and same thing!

Sometimes the XBOX just doesn't want to recognize discs, especially if you have a Thomson drive like I do. I would recommend picking up the XBOX Music Mixer for cheap if you can still find one (Ebay might be your best bet here). It converts the music on your computer, then sends the files over to your XBOX using either a crossover cable or a network. That's how I've sent my Music over. Alternatively, you could always do a softmod on your XBOX, but I don't really know how sending Music works when you do that.
