So do we have a verdict on this yet? I have the new 360 and just got 2k5 again and really want the rosters.

Yes.

1. Buy a sata to usb cable (cables to go sells these) and hookup your slim HD to your PC.
2. Open computer management by either right clicking on my computer and selecting Manage or typing compmgmt.msc in your run line.
3. Click on Disk Management and you'll see the xbox drive, initialize the disk using the default option (mbr) and then you can exit computer management
4. Install xport 360 software
5. Start xport 360 software and it will detect your xbox 360 drive
6. Use xport 360 to navigate to your nfl2k5 saves as described in the old post about transferring updated rosters and perform the same file copies you did with the old method.
7. Disconnect drive and put in back in 360, then play.

Gah!

Microsoft needs to put out an update so that old Xbox saves can be transferred via USB flash drive...

Anyone have an idea if they actually will???

Probably right after I buy a cable.

Re: Xbox 360 "Slim" Owners SOL???

If anyone is looking for an inexpensive cable, I can confirm this one works:

2.5 SATA HDD USB Adapter w/ Silicone Case

I was quickly and easily able to get rosters onto my 360 HDD, using the Xport 360 software.

Next up is to get a custom soundtrack going, and if I succeed I may even be willing to post a guide on how to do all this.

I haven't played 2K5 in a while... Forgot how good it was/is... Even with all it's quirks.
