I have not seen a thread like this so I will add the info here.

After careful reviews and research. I found a way that you can get the updated rosters without Action Replay device. You will still need the software which is free.

All you need is a connector for your Original Xbox Controller. it will cost you just a few dollars. Its called Xbox to PC USB Controller Converter http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=130260984132

The Link above is where I found mine. It was only 3.00 us.

Now after you have that. Just plug it into your pc and allow win to recognize it. In most cases it wont recognize the memory card if this happens follow the instructions below. If you have any questions feel free to email me at [email protected]

Install Action Replay Software

  1. Attach an Xbox Controller (using an official one is best.)
  2. A new USB device will be found. Install the Xbox Controller driver you downloaded. Then Install Action Replay.
  3. Attach the Xbox Memory Unit (http://www.xbox.com.au/com_au/downlo...nit_manual.pdf) to your controller. Another USB device will be found. Select "Install from a list or specific location (Advanced)" and click Next.
  4. Select "Don't search. I will choose the driver to install." and click Next.
  5. Select "Have Disk" and find the directory where you installed Action Replay, Go into the Drivers directory and select "xbreader.inf" click Ok and then Next.
  6. Once the driver has installed click finish.
I hope this helps.
The Action Replay Software is Free From Codejunkies website under the tech support link.

Re: !!ATTENTION!! Xbox Owners!! No Action Replay Device Needed!!

If that really works that is great for Xbox owners. Do you know if there is a way to use an original Xbox Memory Unit on the Xbox 360? 360 is what I have, the 360's Memory Unit uses a different file system than what the 360's hdd uses, so I have to remove my hdd and attach it to my PC every time I need to transfer any files. It's no big deal, I just hate removing/re-attaching the hdd so often.

Something else that would be cool, but I doubt very seriously that it can be done, was if there was a way to reformat the 360's Memory Unit to use the same file system as the hdd. Then we would be able to put Original Xbox game saves on the 360 MU.

Yes, the instructions are for Xbox 1 owners only. I was hoping there was a way to reformat the 360 memory card. For right now. the only way to put xbox files on your hard drive or memory unit is the hard way of taking the hardrive off the 360 and attaching it to the pc or device.

However, i would not put it passed the software men and women out there ( Hackers ). They will always come up with a way around everything. Its only a matter of time.

Would using this method give the ability to input things for modded xboxs to your xbox even if it is not modded?

Yeah, that's what I have been hoping for and looking for, I just don't know if it's even possible to do such a thing. I would think that if it were possible that someone would have figured it out by now, and as far as I know they have not, at least I haven't found it anywhere. Like I said, it's no big deal, it would just be cool if we could reformat the 360 MU to work with Original Xbox saves.

Has anyone been able to verify that this method actually works?
