The quasi-sequel to 2016's film is officially happening, and director James Gunn has shared the full cast today. Some very interesting names on the team this time around.

I hope Idris Elba is not deadshot and they make him play another character. I wasn't a fan of Will Smith as Deadshot either but to keep continuity it would be confusing af.

He should play Black Spider.

The confusing part is that there's not really any continuity to keep. He could be a new Deadshot, not named Floyd Lawton. Or it could be Floyd Lawton from a different earth. We have no idea what the movie involves.

Other than the fact that everyone has already confirmed that Idris Elba is not Deadshot.
