Re: The Americans (FX)

Got caught up on most of the episodes.. great show. The Cold War is one of the most interesting parts of world history to me and I find the angle of this show fascinating.

It is definitely great though. The assassination episode definitely put it up there though.
I love it this is the best show I seen in along time. Its not just about the story its the character development.Alot of shows/movies miss that alot.

With The Americans the dynamic in the characters is amazing. You have Elizabeth who just thinks marrying Master P(Yes I call Philip that ) and having kids all that is just apart of the "job.

Were you have Phil he embraces the American life. The food his wife his kids he's more focused on that than fighting for the KGP.They play the charters out well. For me this is my personal favorite tv show.I'll go out on a limb and say this might be or is the best show so far on tv.

It's not even the best show on FX, yet..

The potential is there and it may happen one day, but for now I'm still just considering it a really phenomenal show.

I don't like dramas easily, and next to Homeland, The Americans is the best drama on TV for me.

But let's not rehash THAT discussion, lol.

Re: The Americans (FX)

So you have a Welch actor playing a Russian who's playing an American.

Anyway, great show. I went through the 5 episode mini marathon in no time.

One of my favorite scenes was when Phillip "kung fued" the perv who lusted for his daughter. I wonder if we'll see him again before season's end?

You thought Phillip hired someone? For a couple of seconds it crossed my mind.

He was sneaky like a Ninja.

Spoiler
