Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes

I have been following this for awhile since I am a Planet Of The Apes fan. It's basically a take on The Conquest Of The Planet Of The Apes. I hated the Burton remake so I hope this pans out. Here is a glimpse of digital Caesar in a quick clip. http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansit.../news/?a=35026

Yea, I'll probably check it out. I only had interest in it because James Franco is in it.

It has nothing to do with the remake at all thank god. It is more of an origin story of how the apes rise to power. More of a reboot of the franchise with the influence being Conquest Of The Planet Of The Apes. Their will be a live streaming event tomorrow at 2:30 PDT from Weta on facebook showing how they rendered the apes in the film. http://www.facebook.com/apeswillrise

Re: Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes

The other night, The original Planet of the APes was on HBO so I DVR'd it. Its pretty good.

I will be interested to see what this movie holds because it was a long time between when the Apes came to power to what was seen in the original movie. So it would seem like there could be alot of "Prequals" if they wanted.

Conquest was a good movie. If they are planning to do an origin story and just completely reboot the franchise, then I am all for it.

Yeah I want a more serious tone compared to the remake which just was goofy and silly. I have the blu-ray boxset of the original planet of the apes films which includes The uncut Conquest Of The Planet Of The Apes. Their were scenes that were more graphic compared to the original release of Conquest. I just hope the new film delivers as my hopes are high but I am also cautious at the same time as I was also hopeful when the remake came out.
