Personally I love his movies and think the majority of his work is great. I'm probably forgetting something but off the top of my head he's never made a truly terrible movie.
Have you guys not seen 'Collateral'? Hands down, his best role IMO. He was incredible. My son thinks Tom is kinda ridiculous, but he LOVED 'Collateral', and it's his favorite Michael Mann flick (Heat is my fave of all time).

That was the one with Jamie Foxx right?

I remember really wanting to see it, just never got around to it.

Re: What movies have you seen recently?

Collateral is definitely one of, if not the, best roles Cruise has ever had.

I'm not a huge TC fan, but he's not enough to get me to NOT see a movie, either. He plays his part well in just about every movie he's in, which is all you can ask for.

I'm pretty indifferent on Cruise (there was a period I was adamantly against watching his stuff), but Collateral was great. I don't think he's top tier talented, but he's had box office draw for almost 30 years.

Yeah, I wouldn't put him up near the top of any list (he is talented though, I'm not saying that, but his range these days has been mediocre), but he's consistent in his parts and that's more than a lot of actors.

Brad Pitt really..? If anything he might be more overrated than Tom Cruise in my books.

I normally like Brad's work a lot, but am I the only one who thought his acting during the climax of 'Se7en' was downright bad? Spacey was acting his *** off and Pitt's reactions were terrible, IMO.
