Buying a Apple Macbook help

I am looking to buy a new laptop and taking a hard look at some of apples products. I was looking at the Macbook line of laptops and not to sure of what to get. I would use it for surfing the net, music, dvds and other media's. I have always used PC and always get very annoyed with them, freezing up, very slow, spy ware and virus scam i just don't like dealing with it.

This one seems to be my top option. As it the lowest in that series, as i can tell.

By looking at those specs they are all above of what my current laptop is now. They all seem to be doubled.

Just wondering how can this be the same price with some lower spec?

And finally the other laptop i was looking at is this.

A little out of the price range, but would it be worth it?

Re: Buying a Apple Macbook help

I just bought the first one in your list and highly recommend it. If you miss PC apps you can use VMWare Fusion and use windows inside the Mac OS. The first one is a revision model of the 2nd one, that's why they are the same price, so get the first one as it has a better on board vid card and another gig of ram.

I used to have a Compaq laptop I bought for 500 a few years ago, this Macbook trumps it!
