How to play RAR files?

Hey I recently downloaded a mixtape and It was an RAR file, I tired to play It In Windows Media Player and It couldnt play it so I downloaded WinRar..now I'm not sure what to do now. I went to the file I downloaded and clicked on extract and then an error message came up so I hit cancel. I then double clicked the file and an jpg image came up of the Mixtape cover thats it.

So can anyone help me how do I use winrar to convert my RAR file into mp3 files?

Thank you.

You have to extract the file. If you save your files to your desktop, you can just right click and say to extract files, and it will make a seperate folder for the stuff you downloaded.

Re: How to play RAR files?

RAR Files are similar to Zipped Files except that it is a different Format. Just Search " Free RAR" on Google to open...

I'm doing that, then I'll open up the file and it just shows me an image of the mixtape cover, no media.

Well seeing as your don't download RARs from iTunes you probably got it illegally and instead of music just downloaded a virus onto your computer.

Right click the file and press extract to [Whatever File Name] it'll extract it to a folder. If there's only a picture in there, then you probably need to download a different file.

Thanks for your input now I know how to download RAR files! Wow thanks! I'ts hard to download something illegally when the artist is putting his mixtape out for FREE! Meaning it's free to download off his site.

But thanks anyways.
