Instead of trying to get around it, why don't you just follow the rules and browse the forums at home? The proxy is there for a reason, and it's really annoying when users think they have the right to just try to get around the security put in place.

This job that I just switched to is the first one I've had where different sites were blocked... OperationSports.com was blocked, which pissed me off, but then I took a guess after a week and tried the forums... So I just saved the forums page as a favorite and I'm good to go... I only really post during lunch.

I do work while at work, but being able to surf the net while I do stuff really helps keep me sane, especially during a slower period when we're not slammed...i understand how some people probably abuse this and don't actually work, but I think allowing web access can also keep employees happier.

If somehow that url would appear as something like google.com then I'm sure you could get away with it, but the safeforwork url totally gives it off that your up to no good(atleast doing something you shouldn't be doing).

My employer just expanded its blocked sites adding OS (blocked gaming).

They blocked OS from work a while ago which sucks since Im at work for 12 hours and cant have my phone. Oh well. At least we have a TV

I don't sit at the computer much, at work, but I do occasionally. I can get to any sports site like espn, nfl, fantasy leagues, etc..

I can even pull up damn near any sports game on that I want.

I just can't get to OS.
