Manual controls are sensitive, but in a good way. Just means having to play REAL football, where you have to build up play thoughtfully and carefully with short passes. I love FIFA's manual controls and that's all I use, but PES' manual controls are IMO that much better. I love them so far, especially the controlled shooting modifier (L2). That option has been missing in football games since forever.

ezio, something I did was set the game difficulty on easy, then just pass the ball around in my half using the vertical cam, just to really get used to the feel and dynamics of manual passing. It's a thing of beauty once you start getting the hang of it.

Cristiano Ronaldo: (Full) Running, dribble, step-over, turn, pre-dribble, feint, shooting, passing.

John Terry: Tackle interception, passing

Ronaldinho: Dribble, step-over, feint, passing

Neymar: Step-over, feint, pre-dribble

Andrea Pirlo: Dribble

Wayne Rooney: Turn

Are these the only special animations for some of those players? I thought I saw some special shooting animations for Rooney.

They are. I haven't noticed any special animations for Rooney when he shoots.

I have to say players like him, Pirlo, Neymar and others behave in a realistic way because of their stats and player cards.

So don't confuse them, Player ID is for signature traits like a particular way of running, dribbling, shooting, etc. Something they do differently and makes them stand out from other players on the pitch.

When you say full manual passing do you mean 0 bars of assistance? If so i dont think that is fully manual as it seems there is some resistance to the weight so i still think its slightly assisted which is why the L2 modifier feels so good because it is fully manual you can tell by how the ball rolls, its rolls much more freely.
Its kinda annoying to me to have to use L2 to get it but its better than the alternative for me.
I really like the manual shooting as well its hard like fifa but at least the ball goes where i hit it this year and not like 12, could never figure that shooting out. Made zero sense to me, plus the floatiness.
Really good so far with 13 demo. Im liking it a lot.

That's not correct. People who were invited to test the game early have stated and were told there is full manual passing and shooting, without the need to use any button modifiers. There's a thread on the subject here:

L2 is an option when shooting in order to keep shots low. But manual passing isn't affected by L2, and isn't required.

Thanks ill read it but why does it say its L2 in the command list and even has a directional gauge that shows you where you want to pass, nothing about shooting.
