Still is too fast. Not sure why they think the game moves at that pace. Hard to tell with human v human, but the AI issues still look there.

Still, I know I'll end up getting it. Why? Because I will buy Fifa first, get fed up, throw my controller and break it, then go to the store to get PES (and a new controller). It pretty much goes the same every year.

Yeah, Adam and Suff tested a different updated version on Monday, bout 85%-90% complete, but it did have certain options disabled because Konami is waiting to release details at a later time. The one they had at Leipzig was older, 70% or so. Not sure why konami would do that but to each their own I guess. If Adam and Suff are very excited about the version of PES 09, then I can't wait. But one thing I did read was that Gamespot confirmed that PES 09 did in fact insert the Champions League in the final build.

But we shall wait and see.

Peace!

Here's a pretty good 10 minute interview with the producer, Seabass:

I'd laugh if the license was actually for the UEFA Cup.

Re: PES 09 Gameplay Video

It's funny to read those impressions. I got an email from Suff yesterday with the subject line reading "FiFA is the one this season".

He did explain to me that he was able to play a nearly complete build and said that it wasn't as good as the pre Beta version of FIFA we played in Canada last month.

He did say however, that PES 2009 was "way better" than 2008, so there is hope I guess.

Re: PES 09 Gameplay Video

I think it looks fantastic. They said they went back to the drawing board and it shows. If it is released for the PC, and no issues - we should be in business for maybe more than 3 seasons of ML. Legend mode or whatever sounds to be delightful - looking forward to this one without a doubt.

Re: PES 09 Gameplay Video

I stopped watching when Pepe, being the last man on defense, dove. Ronaldinho was right there and would have had a clear 1 on 1 with the keeper but there was no advantage played and a prompt yellow card was given...

Diving is just a stupid thing anyway. If a person in real life fell like that with nobody touching him, AS THE LAST MAN, the ref would think he was injured or something and we would certainly not give him a yellow card

Just ridiculous stuff there
