Two things:

Nick Diaz has an 80 Leg Health, and a 87 Body Health.

Once you get his leg health down to the first health event, his power is significantly reduced, and it will help you win exchanges.

Knees and elbows are your friends, anything goes against Diaz.

Because of his leg health, it's not recommended to kick with Diaz, one check or two will REALLY screw him up.

Re: Nick Diaz

I’m gonna keep saying this till I it home. Straight punches stop all forward movement and it doesn’t matter the strike you have to hit them in their start up frames and leg kicks when in stun frames body kicks as well. Nick comes forward like a zombie. It’s your job to intercept him and make him pay. Drive him to the fence and hop off then pressure with round strikes. Lunging punch takedown shuts down a Nick Diaz who can’t grapple. Also mix between breaking on the cage and actual takedowns also a clinch attempt is faster then some combos so it doesn’t hurt to go for a clinch if they throw jab hook
