carrer mode ufc 3

I don't know about anybody else but I was under the impression that the career mode was gonna be way more interactive where I would be able to attend weigh ins and pre and post fight press conferences or at least thats what the trailer led me to believe. Did anyone else feel that way? This is typical bait and switch by EA so I would like to say congratulations for tricking me and everyone else who thought career mode was gonna be that way and I also wanna say thank you for saving me money in the future because this will be the last game I buy from EA! Its only a matter of time until someone else like 2K gets the license for UFC!!!! what a joke!

Yeah career more is still as thin as always it seems. At least it is for me about 8 fights in

Re: carrer mode ufc 3

The rival system is completely flawed and ruins the game the pre scripted rival fights are the only ones that matter, if you lose all previous fights but win your rival fight you'll progress. Kind of makes 90% of fights apart from locked in rivals pointless...

E.g. -

Prospect contract - 4 fights - break into top 15 - #15 Travis Browne

My 4 fight contract goes as follows W L L then I fight travis Browne to get into top 15 after a 2 fight losing streak? Moving forward I win against Travis Browne (I swear the AI get dimmed down for rival fights to make sure you progress)

Next contract - Contender Contract 5 fights - break into Top 5 - #5 Alistar Overeem

Goes as follows - L W L L (one of the guys that beat me somehow went into NR and i. moved from #13 to #11 ranked even after that loss... I eventually still fight Overeem to get into top 5 even after another 2 loss streak? I win and move onto Top Contender Contract- 5 fights - win title - # Stipe Miocic

I fight derrick Lewis #6 lose then decide to give up on career mode as I realise no doubt the outcome of my next few fights doesn t really matter. Which kills the game, I will fight for the title either way and the same outcome will occur as previous contracts. It's all far too scripted... (Also Locked in rivals so no replay ability)

I normally play offline but with career the way it is went online which is good fun. If you're buying for career though i wouldn't get your hopes up.

Re: carrer mode ufc 3

Rankings in career should work something as follows -

WFA
TOP 10 -

Close to being Cut
- NR
Prospect
- NR
- NR
- NR
- NR
- NR
Top Prospect
- NR
- NR
- NR
- NR
- NR
Journeyman
- NR
- NR
- NR
- NR
- NR
Contender
- NR
- NR
- NR
- NR
- NR
Top Contender
- NR
- NR
- NR
- NR
- NR
Top 15
- #15
- #14
- #13
- #12
- #11
Top 10
- #10
- #9
- #8
- #7
- #6
Top 5
- #5
- #4
- #3
- #2
- #1
Champion -

Start out in WFA, move into prospect or top prospect dependant on performance in WFA TOP 10.

Win 2-3 fights in your bracket and move to next tier, lose one fight and drop into tier behind. (Unless fighting in TOP 15 in which case the you'll be swapped out into the position of your previous loss or Win.

Lose 2 fights in a row and drop automatically into close to being cut then have one more fight to try and get out WIN (move into journeyman tier). LOSE (get dropped to WFA to improve or get game over?)

It's all risk and reward so every fight matters..

Contracts shouldn't be based on tiers per say if you get a 5 fight contract you should be able to move up and down as quickly as possible. Even if the money is low on current contract as has happened many of time in which UFC fighters stuck in contracts fighting big fights but having to see out current contract before a better/worse offer is made...

Also add new generated CAFS with high potential to Prospect Rankings and Top Prospect Rankings every 2 - 3 Generated calendar years to keep fighter Rankings turning over/replacing retired fighters.

Start WFA several years before on calendar year or have no calendar for WFA fights so when getting in to UFC it will be current day and Top fighters in UFC are at there peak.

2018 and a AAA Game should have immersive Rankings and a deep career mode I'm kind of baffled at the current set up.

I'd even pump more money into the game via ultimate team for more work on career but my worries would be the money would just go into Ultimate team to try and make more money the next time.

What happened to the good old days why is career modes/offline play being so overlooked?

Re: carrer mode ufc 3

I'm 5 fights in and my longitivity meter is 90% wtf.

Also, why did I get forced into looking for a fight in my 3rd fight when I had no cardio, no submissions or anything. Now I'm forced into the ultimate fighter.

In a perfect world, I'd like some choice.

Re: carrer mode ufc 3

I decided to go womens straw-weight to start.... won my first fight in the 2nd by KO. 2nd fight I have no chance standing, my stamina drains crazy fast... eventually got a sub win. The social media? I get tweets about winning my first fight, and another about knocking HIM out. It was a sub win, and I think a female I fought... lol
