Ranked play.

I would love to see ranked as its own entity. No ability to select your fighter. Just an algorithm that selects fighters. You enter the same as everyone else. You take the same risk. Etc. You think people would play it?

Re: Ranked play.

Do you mean both players get a randomly fighter or just random mirror-matchmaking?

No. Not based on the discussions I've had with top Ranked players. That would be too much randomness for them. The only goal for some (most?) ranked players is to win and that would seriously effect their ability to win.

Re: Ranked play.

I still want a Random slot in the fighter selection screen. That stuff is fun, and with non-hidden matchmaking sometimes opponents will go for it too. Actually I don't even know if EA UFC 2 had that in quick match.

I think random mirror matchmaking (where both have the same guy) would be much more fair for ranked.

But I would rather they have a mandatory "competition" setting for ranked that equalizes the stats for all fighters. I'd like to have this as an option for other online fights too.

Re: Ranked play.

I would, but I still like being able to control who I want to be. Also the bonuses we get for choosing the fighters EA picks wouldn't be able to work this way. As for quickmatch there was no random button select. Hopefully EA UFC 3 has it.

Random fighters based on your streaks, wins, losses, etc. Something that could actually pick based on your style.

That's kind of the point. To prove you are the best, you have to be able to do it out of your comfort zone.
