Footwork stat importance? Footwork vs Accuracy?

So I've been messing around lately with various stat configurations, all around footwork, accuracy, and head movement. I've determined HM means the least so I'm focusing on footwork/footwork vs accuracy, especially in the middleweight and heavyweight divisions where the fighters are slower in general.

What value do you guys put on your footwork in terms of how you rate it as how important it is to focus on and have high?

Right now for my middleweight, I have 86 footwork with 91 accuracy. And my heavyweight 88 FW and 94 AC.

So my question is do you think footwork should be higher and focused on more? I fought an anderson silva in middleweight with a 92 footwork and he didn't seem that much faster with his movement. I beat him. He also had really low accuracy.

So footwork? Do you guys see a big difference in footwork in the mid-high 80's compared to mid-high 90's? Is it worth sacrificing accuracy or some other stat to increase?

I've come to realize that with accuracy I definitely see the difference between low and high with the way your strikes connect. Have you guys noticed the same?

Thoughts in general?

Thanks!

Accuracy Just give a boost in damage if your opponent lunge.

Nothing to do for connecting more..

Imagine playing a video game where you didn't have to guess what each attribute did... wouldn't that be awesome?

I definitely like the difference in movement speed with high footwork. I try to have as much Footwork as I can without compromising other important stand up stats.

Also it was mentioned awhile ago but just in case anyone doesn’t know, you can see exactly what all the stats do and represent if you go into the CAF mode. Bit of a detour to see stat descriptions but they’re in there

The stat for accuracy reads "the ability to hit moving opponents".

But since so many guys said you put footwork above it I'm going to try the same and see if I notice any difference in the striking with the lower accuracy stat.

Edit: Swapped an accuracy card out on each of my fighters for footwork, so now my footwork is in the low-mid 90's and I can def feel the extra mobility. The striking doesn't really feel different in terms of what the accuracy did to gameplay so guess it's not as important as I thought.

Re: Footwork stat importance? Footwork vs Accuracy?

First week posting on the forum since UFC-2 and can honestly understand why there are just about 5 pages of posts regarding UFC-3 lol. Well the game is now playing at a great level after almost a year of constant new patches and the crippling of UT which was just about 90& of players favorite mode until they wrecked it.

I did not get into it (because I didn't understand it) till a good ten months after the game dropped and came across a guy from the UK's Youtube channel (SJH-Sports) which got me going.I can see what EA tried to do and it was partially a success but being a player who prefers the ground but also like to strike leaves me mainly with a stable of Balanced fighters with a hardcore ground fighter thrown in. But it is just insane to stand to long with a wrestler or specialist against a striker and the exact opposite if using a striker and facing a player with a ground fighter who is good?

Hopefully for UFC-4 they go back more to the way things were in UT in UFC-2 as well as getting rid of the roster fighters and only having guys use created fighters.

As for footwork I never go higher than 92 or else I get that feeling like i AM ICE SKATING. i am certain a lot of players probably maxed out their footwork stat and wondered why their fighter did not feel right? Power and speed aside which mostly everyone likes maxed I will go into practice mode and look at the stand up stats of the fighters i use in Ranked and try to match then as closely as possible.

I'm 99 percent sure that footwork only affects the ability to side step and back lunge strikes. It doesnt affect general movement speed.
