SKATING / SHOOTING STYLE THREAD

The new "Behavior" section of the Edit Player screen gives you the ability to adjust players skating and shooting animations. This thread can be used as a centralized place to list any edits we make to players.

I'm not talking about randomizing the animations just for the aesthetic/cosmetic appeal.....lets use this for real edits.

This can be used as a template:

Team -
Player -
SHOOTING STYLE
Shot Style X
One Timer Style X

SKATING STYLE
Spine Angle X
Spine Curve X
Stride Gait X
Stride Distance X
Stride Height X
Upper Body Twist X
Hustle Style X
Hustle Arm Swing X
Hustle Arm Snap X
One Handed Arm Swing X

SHOOTING STYLE
Shot Style 19
One Timer Style 16

I personally like these two, very high stick in air and short one timer for quick goal, I like smooth and deadly, I don't like that unrealistic stuff, but that's how I would shoot In real life if I was hockey player.

Yeah, what I am hoping for here is that people will identify styles that fit certain players (especially star players) and we have somewhere to look for certain edits that will make the game look even better

Crazy to me that EA puts the skating and shooting styles in the game and then they don't really utilize it to make players look different from one another when they are taking strides, shooting, etc. All players are set to use the same stride, hustle, stride gait, stride length, etc

Did EA do no one? Not even Ovechkin? Even after the roster update?

Was really excited about this and was disappointed to see it not used. Hopefully roster updates will have them correcting it, but not holding my breath for it. I could go through the Canadiens players if I find the time and an explanation for each setting. Some don't seem to make that much difference between 0 and 99, so some help would be great in that regard. One weird skater I always thought this feature would have been great for is Mark Recchi and his weird *** skating style. Saw a youtube vid comparing an all 0 to an all 99 skating settings player. The 0 was kind of evocative of him.

Re: SKATING / SHOOTING STYLE THREAD

Honestly, I’ve edited entire rosters and it still isn’t noticeable when you’re playing. Everyone still looks the same. Originally I was going to edit the entire league and all prospects and call ups, but I’m not really seeing the effect on the ice. Everyone still looks very similar.
