We just wanted to start this thread off by saying thank you for your participation and feedback on the current gameplay tuner! We received a lot of feedback that we are currently collecting, as well as collecting your responses in the forums. As we reach the final stages of the Beta tuner rollback, the current gameplay tuner survey will close Wednesday, January 16th @ 3 PM PT.

  • WHERE: All Online Modes (Offline users can switch back to it through settings; explained below)
  • WHAT TUNER WILL THIS BE: Tuner 1.00 from the NHL 19 Beta that was released on August 2nd

*UPDATE: Ahead of the tuner deployment, we encountered server deployment issues while doing final preparations for tonight's update. We are hoping to have it resolved tomorrow and live on Friday at 2 AM and will update on its status tomorrow.

We apologize for the delay and any inconvenience this may have caused
.

Once the tuner is live, a Gameplay Tuner update will be downloaded that will revert the tuner update changes for online modes.

HOW TO PROVIDE FEEDBACK
On Friday, January 18th at 2 PM PT, we will be releasing the Beta Tuner Feedback Survey. You will be able to find a link to it in-game, on our Twitter, and in this thread when it goes live. The survey will be available until Thursday, January 24th at 02:00 PM PT.

As a reminder, you are only able to complete the survey once. Please be sure you've played an adequate number of games until you submit your feedback, as you will not be able to resubmit or change your answers after you have submitted it.

Additionally, in the Beta Tuner survey, we will also be providing an additional field to leave any additional comments regarding the Beta Tuner. You can also leave your feedback in this thread, or on social media by tweeting at myself (@TheFlopFish) or the EA SPORTS NHL account (@EASPORTSNHL).

LINK TO FEEDBACK SURVEY: Will be provided January 18th @ 2 PM PT.

Agreed! Game play is a lot smoother, one timers and goalies feel WAY more realistic. I do have custom game sliders - so I am still testing things out, but so far so very good

Re: BETA TUNER DETAILS + FEEDBACK THREAD (UPDATED: DELAYED TIL 17th)

I played a versus game this morning and a ones game with the new (old) tuner.

Breathe of fresh air.

Skating is more fluid. Stick lifts back to being effective (needs to be toned down just a notch). Playing positional defense is back, you can play the body without having to body check and cause turnovers, puck battles etc. Poke checking could use a small bump up a notch. But honestly if they let it be I’m fine with it.

This tuner forces guys to kind of play well hockey.

My favorite part about the beta and it’s tuner was the positional defense. Square up on a guy with the left trigger and you can battle for a puck and or force a turnover. That went away with the updates.

If they can sprinkle in the fixes from other tuners but leave the base like this that would be fantastic.

The other fantastic thing would me is to drop this game into the vault right now on Xbox, drop price to like 10 bucks elsewhere and get people to somehow to start playing this online. Lol. Because it’s a ghost town. Ha.

Guys don’t forget, it’s NOT The Beta Game, it’s only the Beta Tuner!!!

4 NHL Patches are now included!

The Beta Game was without any Patches!

Well, this post alone has be seriously thinking about picking it up now. I've skipped it (first time in 10+ years, maybe longer).

The Beta has been the best iteration of EA NHL games for the past couple years (for whatever reason) before changing in a rollercoaster fashion for the worst. Been dying to get my hockey fix , so hopefully I can be part of the resurgence project

Re: BETA TUNER DETAILS + FEEDBACK THREAD (UPDATED: DELAYED TIL 17th)

Ok i'm confused. How may 1.00 tuners are there? The notes say the 1.00 tuner we're getting for offline is the sept 1 tuner. Is that the original beta tuner? What is the difference between the Sept 1 tuner and the 1.00 tuner that has always been an option in the gameplay version tuner selection? And what 1.00 tuner did the online players go back to if they're not using the Sept 1 tuner?
