CPU pass accuracy

Since 22, no matter how much you adjusted sliders the CPU pass percentage often ended up in the high 80s/low 90s. First game on 25 a week ago CPU was at 84% and I thought, great, finally sorted. About 30 games later and CPU pass accuracy has been almost always between 87-92% while I come in around the NHL average, 75-80%.

I'm a veteran player but no matter what I try - avoiding puck chasing and using positional defense / setting CPU sliders to 0 on accuracy and pass reception ease - CPU pass percentage is always much higher than mine and usually at an unrealistic NHL level. Is this just the norm like 22 where it wasn't being calculated accurately and just gotta ignore it? Anyone have insights or a similar experience, or have I just lost it and should hang up my virtual skates?

Re: CPU pass accuracy

It's the norm. I don't think CPU pass accuracy slider even works. Heck, I still think a lot of those sliders don't work. I read something where some users think the HUM sliders actually affect the CPU, but not sure how true that is.

EA needs to revamp the whole slider system. They should start at 0 for all sliders. As you increase, that should be the impact. Also, We shouldn't have sliders for identical player attributes because they are going to wash each other out and I think that's why we have weird gameplay results.

Your second part is why. We need more variety in attributes, which is the main reason why the sliders don’t work (along with them not actually working).

It works.. CPU passing in my franchise hovers between 70% and 85%. the accuracy slider works in association with other sliders.

What sliders are you using, some variation of PKs? If so, would you mind posting just your passing sliders, or even your full set?

I set the CPU passing sliders at 0 and pass reception ease down to around 20 and I get a pretty good replication of what an NHL game is like. I am seeing 75-80% passing for the CPU controlled teams...

PLAY YOUR POSITION - don't get running around or you'll get torched.
ATTACK WHEN ITS THE RIGHT TIME
CHANGE LINES AT THE RIGHT TIME
TELL YOUR CPU PLAYERS TO SHOOT WHEN OPEN(L1)
DONT CALL FOR MIRACLE PASSES
STAY IN POSITION AND THE CPU WILL FIND YOU WITH PASSES.

Hope this helps you out.
