Re: NHL 25 Franchise Mode Trailer and Details Arrive Tomorrow

What a stream!

-Box scores finally in
-New francchise hub looks like madden, like it. And they moved the info you'd get on deadline day right into the hub which is an awesome QOL change.

-They added projected goalies to the hub screen. I wonder if goalie usage (starters vs backups) got adjusted anymore? Wasn't mentioned. I did notice backups playing in back-to-backs last year consistently.

-They added game logs for players along with splits. No advanced stats like corsi though.

-Contract overhaul is awesome. I love that they're leaning into the conversation engine. I turned it off in years past because it was just players nagging about ice time, but now, it looks intuitive.

-Being able to talk to players and persuade them to change positions and player type is a big win. There's risk reward to it too depending on the player's age, ratings etc. Like it.

-Still sihlouettes for generated players in the draft.

-Being able to move picks when roster editing is nice.

See yall on the 27th.

These additions legitimately sound great and we're much needed.

This looks really good and great to see box scores finally come back.

My main concern which EA never seems to address is can we select more than 1 team or be able to play/watch any game from any side's schedule?

Hopefully box scores and the new stats make it into season mode which would suffice short term but longer term just let us play any game rather than being restricted to just 1 team in franchise (hopefully this is in 25)

Great changes, but unfortunately the biggest issue was never addressed (and you an see it in the video).

The menu lag is still there :/

Honestly disappointing that in 2024 we STILL have menus that don't just work and are smooth. Really hampers all the amazing changes they actually have listed. Silhouettes is probably tied to this. Since the menus are so laggy, I'd imagine if they had actual silhouettes ala BAP, it would just cause the **** to crash since it's so unoptimized.

all this is really cool, but i hope they improved gameplay, smarter cpu, harder to get in offensive zone with good neutral zone pressure.

Actually really impressed with the changes. The deep dive was 17 minutes long, which was surprising as well. All together some really good things added, and it doesn’t look like they took anything that important out. Definitely a lot more excited now
