How to make the CPU more competetive?

I like the speed of this game at full sim playing on superstar, but I can't help but feel like I work the CPU everytime I play. I've tried Al Tito's sliders but to me the speed just feels too slow. Is there anything in the sliders that I can edit to make the CPU truly an opponent.

CPU difficulty adjustment and AI learning for a start but I consider those cheats.
