sliders/settings for accurate sim stats for cpu vs cpu, play, sim?

Just getting into my franchise and I've got a couple questions mainly about sliders/settings for accurate replay stats. I like to play the occasional game but I'm mostly a sim guy. I also like to run some games via cpu vs cpu because I'm a stay at home dad/artist, both jobs which are ideal for having stuff on the tube that I don't really have to pay full attention to.

I'm trying to find the right settings so that the stats are relatively accurate in all 3 of these modes of play. Only played a couple games so far, I think I'm on 4 minute periods...that seemed about right. My games mostly saw 2-4 goals for each team so I'm ok with that for now. As I get better I'm sure I'll start scoring more so I'll look to tweak things to make it harder for me to score and easier for the cpu, but for now I'm ok finding my comfort zone.

For games I simulate, stats seem ok though I haven't taken a real close look. Fights seem way down, my team has played 5 games and there's only been 7.5 fights in the entire league up to this point, I have a feeling that's just the way the cpu vs cpu sims work out. Oh well.

The real trick I think is the cpu vs cpu games that I just watch. The first couple I still had on the 4 minute periods. Only saw a couple goals in those games so for game 3 I thought I better bump it up to 10 minute periods, and saw a whopping 12 goals. Small sample size I know so I'll keep tweaking it. If I have to toggle between how long periods are for games I play vs games I watch I'm ok with that, but I don't really want to be changing a bunch of settings each time I play.Maybe there's a way to have a preset for when I play and a separate one for when I set it to cpu/cpu? Just thought of that.

Any tips are appreciated, thanks!
