Euro Players in Franchise Mode

Do players in euro league not affiliated with an NHL team every come over as free agents in franchise mode? Would be cool to put a couple players in there (ie Buff, Datsyuk) and have them maybe appear in a couple years as a FA

I was wondering about that too. But in franchise mode it feels like the teams from europe don’t even exsist because you can’t see stats and standings from the other league’s(what should be in the game this is very easy to add). Also should you be able to see ratings and stuff from these players and you should be able to sign players as UFAs. This is a very common thing in hockey that players with great performances get nhl contrats.
