How to Run strategy plays like Overload, crash, and net?

Okay, I need help in a major way. Can someone tell me if there is a certain pattern that my guys are to rotate in when I call a specific play such as overload, crash the net?

Is there a certain player that has to have the puck to start the play? A certain button that needs to be pressed? A order of such...? Right now, nothing is working I get in the zone with my D in the high corner and before you know it whack... I lose the puck or something else...

HELP!!

Overload, Behind the Net, Crash the Net; these are not plays, but offensive strategies.

Overload is designed for skilled players and involves a lot of passing. Behind the Net is good for lines with a mix of skilled players and power forwards. Crash the Net is the simplest strategy; shoot the puck on net, and your team will try and "crash" for rebounds. This is a great strategy for big, strong, less-skilled players.

So no, there is no specific button you have to press or anything for these. These strategies just determine how each line will try to get scoring chances.

Re: How to Run strategy plays like Overload, crash, and net?

I am not a big behind the net fan, as it feels there is just not enough room to maneuver and set up back there. Playing behind the net in my opinion just feels like a good way to get creamed and taken out of the play. Overload has a lot of movement and is good for quick skilled players. Crash the net Is good for bug power forwards who are hard to clear out of the low slot. It is excellent for setting up deflections and having guys in position to pick up rebounds. However due to the lack of movement, a lot of shots end up blocked or hitting your own players due to the large amount of traffic just sitting in front.

Okay, I've now watched the video, which was helpful. I only have one more question. Do the players rotate in a certain direction once you select the strategy or do they simply go to their designated spot and sit? The video showed us a breakdown of the guys personal created plays..?
