The puck is definitely more 'bouncy' on dump ins.
Still having a good time with this game though.

I beat the Hawks 4-2 as the Preds and the game was a lot of fun.
The Hawks got 6 PP's (but all of them were my fault - trying the stick lift from bad angles, or with high PIM players).
I had 3 PP's (two interference, 1 charging).

It was a very close game the whole way with both teams trading chances.
The Hawks outplayed me, but Rinne was the difference. At one point, he stopped a Toews point-blank attempt that would have been scored on a lesser goalie (I know this because I've seen it happen several times prior).

For those of you that aren't having fun with this game, I highly suggest you take a year off from the series. I haven't played this game much since 2010 and now I"m really enjoying '14.
Over the past 3 years I've purchased basketball, boxing and baseball games to help pass the time.
Now that I'm back to hockey, I'm loving it.

I am not seeing the fix for the Blues jersey. I have the 360..... and all I see is the current , and alternate jersey. I have 2 sets of the 67-68 jersey... shouldnt there be another one . Why am I seeing 2 home and away of thr 67-68jersey?

just for the hell of it, i decided to play a game with the preset settings.
ive been playing on allstar level with my own settings.
by the way, im not that good at the game. i play about 2 hours a week. if that.

anyways- had allstar level with simulation preset. 8 min periods.
i was boston and cpu flyers.
i won the game 15-13. is that normal? im not even good at the game, and yet when i wanted to score, i would score. i outscored the cpu 9-1 in the third.

I think it's the simulation preset. I tried a HUT tourney on simulation just for kicks. Lasted 1 period against an AHL team. They had 89% passing and 5 minutes on attack because I couldn't get the puck away from them. The default settings have always been bad with this series.

My impression is, this game got bad fast.

Who agreed that pucks bouncing to the moon was a good idea? I wish these guys knew how hockey was actually played.

bouncing puck

But yeah, it's been there since the demo, nothing new in the patch.

Yea, I didn't like it at all from the start. Now its way worse then it was before. They should have a slider for it, so we can adjust it... I wonder if the guys who are doing he rosters, etc. can adjust it (probably not)

I think the turning radius got better, at faster pace, it moar realistic then it was before. Before you could turn too sharp... So, that it better.

How many patches do they do each year. They should at least have them so you can use which ones you want. Like the tuners. Have the patches on a checklist & we can check which ones we want to use...

The game is really customizable (which is nice). They should make it even moar. (Like be able to adjust each type of penalty with sliders)

Does anyone know what ever happened with goalie collisions? They were pumping that hard in the summer, that if you ran into the goalie, he would go flying. But I'm not seeing it. They still have the imaginary force field around them as in years past.

Also the amount of power you lose in fights from being grappled is ridiculous. I pump a guy 4 times square in the face and he tugs me down hard once and my power bar drops just as much. Weak.

Love the game but the frustration level with EA is high as always (see: bouncing puck. cmon now, who thought that was a good idea)

I'm annoyed by that mechanic as well.
It would have been much more satisfying (and fun!) if instead of losing health, the grappler had free reign to clobber his opponent while off balance. Maybe even 'jersey' him.
