If they were smart they would make the right stick as total control stick checking. Example flick down on the stick and the player will chop down on the opposing players stick. Thus causing an errant shot or loss off the puck. Flick up on the stick and thats a normal poke check or a stick lift. and flick side to side for a directional poke check

canuckssss pointed out several areas that need significant work in this series.
Considering these flaws have been pointed out since NHL08, I can understand why some people are nitpicking a 30-second video.

The game has made some nice advances, but the gameplay almost needs to be rebuilt from the ground up.
