Career ending injury in Be A GM

Decided to rebuild the Blue Jackets in my Be A GM mode. In my second season, R.J. Umberger got concussed and was out for 10 weeks. At the time, there were 7 weeks left in the season (was in last place, so no playoff games)

When the season ended and the list of retired players came out, who was on the list? Umberger. Retired at age 31.

I personally love this. Granted, it screwed me over and it took two seasons for me to gain stability on the wing again, but it added a unique element to the game.

Any one else have this happen? Not sure if this was a one-time glitch or if others have experienced it.

Never seen it in a personal Be A GM mode, but if it wasn't a glitch I feel like that's a cool concept that EA (accidently?) put into the game.

Saw King Henrik go at 33, I dont know why, But I'm positive it was an injury, cause he would never retire that early.

If you make sure you save before the "aging" process, like on june 16th, if you get weird results from retirement just quit, don't save, and try again, there will be different players retiring....

I think I've seen this happen in earlier games...and I do think it's directly related to injuries.

Your Umberger inury's very Pronger like. Except it didn't take Umberger 2+ years to decide to retire.
