Where did blocked shot injuries go?

I am not sure when exactly this changed, but I noticed recently that I have not seen a single blocked shot injury occur in about three of four months with NHL 13.

These injuries used to be pretty frequent in NHL 12 (about one per game), but for whatever reason, they just don't seem to happen anymore in NHL 13.

Blocking shots should have some health risk involved for the blocker. But right now, there is no risk to blocking shots in NHL 13.

I had Crosby injured for 4 or 5 games when I went down to block a shot in GMC. Think it was an ijured elbow which is good cause the shot was closer to his face.

I saw one once where the guy took the puck to the helmet, but that was it.
I agree, they need to be more frequent. Maybe not knocking players out for whole games, but maybe a few plays or so, maybe a week, or longer if it's particularly bad.
It was just too much in NHL12. I just stopped taking slap shots because i was dropping a player per game from my own team.
At least now when my players block all of my own shots they don't get killed for it.
