NHL 13: Are you going to use the True Broadcast Camera?

so guys after playing the demo, will the new "true broadcast" camera be your first choice? if so will it be difficult to make the transition, and do you think youll be able to play the game on the same level that you used to with one of the overhead cams?

I'll certainly give it a chance, my fear is not being able to get used to the controls with the camera that way, and not being able to see all of the ice since I play a heavy dump and chase, cycle game alot of the time.

I am happy they got it in though for those that have been asking for a true broadcast cam for a while now.

Noooooooo. I've been playing overhead since NHL 10. I tried the TBC in the demo and immediately hated it for the simple fact I had to push down to shoot as NJD. I always run Overhead, Prefer Up. I tried TCB two or three times and couldn't get it out of my zone.

I've been playing with Action/Ice cams since I started playing NHL(and similar view for NBA games).

I think it'd be real hard to transition to a diff camera, especially after using a certain one for 10+ years. And would be even harder now when taking shots would be side to side on the analog stick, compared to just up and down like I've gotten used to(and MLB analog swinging/pitching is the same way)

Re: NHL 13: Are you going to use the True Broadcast Camera?

100% yes. No question about it. It took some time getting used to the 2k10 broadcast view. Now I can't go back to playing the vertical way.

A tip for those trying it. Make sure you turn "Auto Zoom" off. Makes quite the difference. The zoom makes finding the pucks in the corners hard to see sometimes.

You can set the right stick to "Always Up" for shots I believe. Even the devs playing the game yesterday said that is the way they usually play with the TCB enabled.

I'll use it for offline modes only. Only it pretty much has to be the Ice cam or Be a Pro High for EASHL/OTP games.
