I wouldn't worry about that.

It looks like you can still get them out of position with good puck movement.

Myself....this is what I'm getting on All-Star hardcore with 10 minute periods.

By the look of things defensively with '13'...it does at least seem as tough we may have to up our period lengths a ways. Which I'll bet we're both more than willing to do. Just a wild guess, but I'm thinking [hoping] we may have to go with 12-14 minutes to get realistic shot totals, etc...

I just hope they reduced the amount of times your own teammates block your shots. They need to show some awareness.

I'd be fine with that, I'm not sure it will be necessary unless the AI really does back check like they demonstrate in a couple instances in the video. I mean I expect the AI to be better obviously, but I'm taking a very cautious approach this year, well cautious for me anyway.

If the passing fixes affect the CPU as much as the user and a user's teammates actually do a decent enough job of poking pucks away and clearing the front of the net, along with the GM Brain realizing quick enough what a user is doing that's successful and changes up enough on the forecheck/backcheck to show a noticeable difference during gameplay. I can see it maybe affecting shot totals to the point where you'd want to bump up period length a few minutes to compensate.

I'm just having a hard time believing that they've managed that much of a complete overhaul in one dev cycle, but I'm hopeful it all works out how it's been documented thus far. It would be pretty amazing if that turns out to be the case.
