Home/Away Vs.?

What is deal with this? How is it decided who is home and who is away in random vs matches? For the past 20 games, Ihave been the away team. I've just tried 25 times in a row to get a home game. All away. i would then back out and try again. At first it was after a losss, so I thought maybe you had to win your last game.
I've never seen this issue before in past games or even this seasons game. Very strange. I'm a Ranger fan and would like to play at the Garden every once in a while at the very least. If anyone has any ideas, please fill me in if you can. Thanks in advance.

maybe i'm a bit off-topic but anybody know if playing home offline gives a certain advantage over the visiting team?

I have never had any issue with my internet. This has just been happening recently. So your saying the person with the faster connection is always the home team? I find that hard to believe, especially as there is no indication on screen of you or your opponents internet speed. When i have been home in the past, there have been no lag issues or connection problems.
Am I missing something? Is there a place in-game to check my internet connection? Maybe in the lobby screen?
