Defending Cross Crease Passes

I found this video and I thought it might be helpful for some. It actually gives good tips.

This video doesn't show me anything. Passes will still go through if someone has 99 passing. Playing vs average clubs and playing D is different than facing the "top" clubs who can make the game work in unrealistic ways.

I didn't say the video would help everyone. It's a basic strategy. Not meant for "top" ranked clubs.

Good tips. I've been using that method of stopping passes for a while, and it's definitely more effective, but I hate that that's the best way to do it. The user shouldn't be given anything for free.

It's the best way I've seen to do it. You can also try and shadow the player about to receive the pass and stick lift him at the last second, right before he was to get the puck. It's risky and can sometimes cost you a penalty, but it's an option that's better than diving or shot blocking.

I find it better to just hit the person who's about to receive the pass because most of the time, the person set to receive the pass is inside the hashes in which it is completely "legal" to do.. of course, they will get you on roughing calls sometimes but it's better then a goal.

high defensive awareness, stay in the lane.. do not poke check at all, just stay in the lane, pass comes and you will end up with the puck on your stick more times than not.
