EA Give Us a PC Version !?

How come EA doesn't make a PC version of the NHL series anymore? I mean is it because of piracy or some other issue with Microsoft or something? FIFA has a PC version so why not NHL ?

I for one would love a PC version of this game and would have no problem buying it day 1 !

Agreed. The game had not changed at all since the 06 version I think. All they did was add some new-ish looking windows dressing and sold it as new.

Amen, Brother. Like an idiot, I bought the PC version of NHL for several years, before finally learning EA put no effort whatsoever into that version. Since EA clearly demonstrated they were intending to release an inferior product for the PC, I am glad they stopped even offering the temptation. Unless they were ready to make a real game for the PC, EA made the right decision.

Yeap the game was golden on the pc from nhl96 - 99 though.

i still find it hilarious that the pc version of NHL 04 (modded) still plays just as good if not better than the new games.. i use a wired 360 controller, customized to the control schemes of the new games.. right stick in use for deking/shooting/checking and right trigger for passes.. pull left trigger for speed burst as well. Y button for tie ups in front and pinning along the boards.. (i even have my nhl 94 controls set up, right trigger passing and shoot and check with right stick).

IMO, they wouldn't need to release a new pc game every year, but would be great to see a new one say every other year or so..

I went to the console for the reason that EA was making no effort whatsoever for the console part and we we're still having a sub-par game compare to console.

In NHL 08 if I remember correctly, the Anaheim Ducks we're playing with their new black-orange jersey. In the retail PC game, J.S. Giguere was still wearing a purple mask with purple pads.

Just that exemple, and how simple it is to at least make a mask and pads the same color than the new uni's proved me that EA didn't care a sh*t about the PC version.

Also, if you have to update the PC every 2 years to take advantage of a game while you don't have to care about on the console, the choice was easy.
