NHL being cheap on travel expenses after 1st year of BaGM

Has anybody noticed that once the CPU starts making schedules starting in year 2 of Be a GM, many times instead of home and home series between 2 teams, they just play 2 games in a row at the same building? For example my next 5 games:
@TOR
@TOR(2 nights later)
NYR
BOS
BOS(night after the 1st BOS)

Yes. I'v noticed this as well and hope it's improved upon. It seems that franchise mode (or in this case Be A GM) needs a huge face-lift in just about every sports game.

I talked to Gurn about this at the community event last May (too late for '11). My suggestion -- don't remember if it was my idea or I stole it from someone on here -- was to use schedules from previous NHL seasons, assuming the schedule generator isn't completely redone. I don't remember when the current scheduling format was adopted, but it should buy us a few believeable seasons and they could just cycle through them. I'd rather have 4 or 5 possible schedules than the crazy stuff we see now.

He seemed to really like the idea...

Any mention of changing how stats, awards, etc are tracked and can be viewed? The scheduling quirks don't really matter to me, but the inability to follow players as they grow, develop and retire really kills the franchise experience for me.

That always bugged me too, not showing a player's actual teams he was on and instead just showing NHL/AHL. Its one of those small things but still big enough to detract from the overall franchise experience.
BeAGM needs some serious love and I just hope we don't have to wait til the end of the 3 year physics cycle for it to get it.

I'm like 15 seasons into my current BEAGM and I had an absurd amount of back to back games one year. At one point I even had four games in four nights.
