Fix Ultimate Team Playoffs and tournaments

THIS IS RIDICULOUS!! I won 2 playoff games in a row but because people are idiots they quit on me with 3 seconds left and 2 minutes left cause they wanted to F me over for beating them.

How could EA mess this up. Let people who win advance. I should have had 2 games left to finish the playoffs now I have to play another 4 in a row just to win a playoff. What a waste of time and effort.

I mean really you couldn't give me the advance on a playoff win because the other idiots keep quitting when I wax them with my 3 star team compared to their 5 star teams. Really frustrating!

i played my playoff game in the HUT this afternoon, puck drops, 2 mins in, he trys nothing but backing his way in from the corners, gets the goalie to flop etc. i play solid d for 2 periods, he then finally gets one of them to sneak in, then another. so i frustrated him, like you lol.. just backed out.

HUT, ranked games of any kind dead to me. its a joke bc ea allows it to be a joke. i dont see ea changing that crap anytime soon.

5 games, 5 wins 4 of them quit! My teams were 2 star and 3 star teams while they bring their 5 star giants and only one guy toughs out the *** whopping. I even tried holding myself back then score in the last few minutes but no they drop like flies with seconds to go.

Please tell me this is addressed in the coming patch please!!!

Of my 5 wins in a row 4 of them quit at the last second to F me over, that is an 80% quit rate. Please fix this, do something!!! 2.5 hours wasted. Thanks EA!

It is utterly frustrating. So many cheesers out there. HUT can be such an addicting mode, but EA usually finds a way to mess s*** up.

What's really weird is that in FIFA World Cup if you quit, you got a loss in the 'playoffs'. Why change that?

Related thought... and not intended to hijack this thread, but there should also be a choice to resign a game. Yes, it's a loss, but say 1 or 2 every 10 games are allowed and not have it affect your reliability rating. There is no point for me to have to suffer for any longer if I'm down 5-0 to a guy halfway through the second. It's over. I get it. Let me get in to another game, give him the win, let's move on. Even if I get no pucks for a resignation... fine, just let me move on with my life without a major penalty.

That said, and back to our regularly scheduled thread, I totally agree that this is bunk. Why have playoffs if you can quit and still play again?

last online tournament i played took me 10 wins to finish. and that was just regular season where you'd think there would be less rage quitters.

lack of quitting compared to versus play was awesome when the game first came out, but people have since realized that the dnf modifier isn't much of a deterrent.

it's not a big deal to me, because you can look at any type of tournament or playoffs as just a bonus, but it would be nice if there was a greater punishment for quitting to prevent it more.

another thing: it would be nice if you didn't lose your current tournament if there's a game wide server outage. i understand the need to prevent people from pulling the cord, but EA should be able to figure out when the loss is caused by a major deficiency on their end.

I would agree on this if the per game rate for playoff wins were not so small. As it is right now the per game rate for a playoff win is only like 0.15 or 0.5 which is a drop in the bucket. At least some of the tournaments give you a 1 or higher up front. So even if guys quit on you, your getting pucks at a normal rate or above.
