Why was the thread over here closed?

In the last post, kehlis said "the title of this thread and this post is not the way we do things here" … people complain all the time on this forum; about EA, gameplay, other players, etc. What was the problem? What is "not the way we do things here"?

It's not like I was profane or anything (had to work at it, given the frustration, but it was 100% clean). The only possible thing I could see (and it's something of a stretch) is that some people don't like others using the word "hell". If that's the reason, it seems a little 1950s puritanical, eh?

Anyway, I'm curious why it was closed. Seems like a completely legitimate post/complaint to me.

Not really. That's why I'm asking.
Kehlis just said I had a legitimate complaint, but then said something like "this isn't the way we do things here" and closed it. I'm left scratching my head.

Looking at the user history, Kehlis seems to have closed a lot of threads over the last few days.

Probably because of the way you said it. If you would have left out the "What in the 'H.E. double-hockey sticks" it would have probably been alright.

I understand your frustration fishbert but we have to choose our words more diplomatically sp and YELLING online isnt always the answer .
Kehlis and 99% of the Mods here are very fair and do a great job or keeping the boards free of junk posts , rants ect. but remember we have members of the Game company here also which is a treat for most of us .
Its kinda like I just come up to you at your work and say hey your work in this mode sucks so maybe instead of Bs say is anyone else disappointed or im having trouble online .

It's written that thread titles can't call out a developer/company. Any thread with a title like "Rammer, Fix This NOW!!!!!111!!!ONEONEONE!" or "EA, Your Game Is Broken" will be locked.

Well, I completely disagree with it (for one, I would hope any EA people on here would want to hear the negative feedback along with the positive in order to make a better user experience in their product … and for another, there's a 7 page thread called "They REALLY need to fix the CHEAP AI" very much alive and well, which seems like it would fall under the same reasoning that my thread was closed)… but I do appreciate the more informative reply.

They really dont need a reason. They didnt like the attitude that you had with your topic title so they closed your topic. I would suggest not making a huge deal like this about it unless you want to earn yourself a pink name.
