Guess it is time to retire

from video games. I'm an older gamer and had so much fun playing '09 and '10 online. Never was all that great, but could hold my own playing D. The learning curve in '11 is just too much I guess. After 25 games, I just can't get a handle on it. Playing as a TWD with the boost pack and every game I find myself being layed out flat every other minute and can't buy a point or an A in team play. In '10, I got my Legend card right around 200 gp's and playing strickly OTP. Will never come close to a Legend card now.

I played about 750 games in '10 and my plus/minus was no worse than -25 and again all OTP. I don't know, I guess this game really exposes scrubs like me. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted. The last week I have actually found myself cursing and close to throwing my controller thru the TV playing this game. I'm not trying to bash '11. It is far more realstic hockey. I just don't have rubber fingers anymore and can't understand why I get pummeled every time I get hit and when I try to hit, I either whiff or skate right by my opponent. Ugghh...just too frustrating for me to play anymore.

Farewell. You wasted your money on a boost pack, though, and really, deserve to be laid out at every opportunity. In the words of Woody Hayes, Nobody likes a quitter. Goodbye.

Don't retire bc of the game. Retire bc of donkeys like jmboo that have to act like a douchebag on message boards.

I suggest trying a different player type before quitting. Like powerforward.

This is unnecessary.

I doubt anyone here is older than I am, I'm 52, and I love this game! The best one yet! Just play it and enjoy it, that's what I do.
