Online Delay

So, I saw a few threads related to lag online, but I haven't found one similar to my issue yet.

Whenever I play OTP, I get a 1-2 second delay between any passes/shots. Everyone has been telling me that the game just seems slightly more delayed than last year, however, this delay feels excessive.

I got no lag when I played OTP in NHL10. I also received no lag when I played the OTP mode in FIFA 09. when I tried playing OTP in FIFA 10, I began to lag. I have an ethernet wire connecting my xbox to my router. I have tried opening my ports and disabling any other computers on the router, but it hasn't had any effect.

If anyone has a similar experience, I'd appreciate the help.

I've had this happen every once in a while. It only happens sometimes so I just chalk it up to the people I'm connected to. This seems to be network lag, not video lag. So, check your internet connection (e.g. do some latency tests), make sure you're not downloading torrents on the same LAN or doing any other type of intensive downloading/uploading on the LAN, etc.
